Oh, Frank...

Another Ghery building... But this time for Louis Vuitton? We MUST go see the exhibition (and the building) once completed.

Frank on Green Design (I agree on a certain level, especially after seeing what Omicron builds)
“It’s become an excuse for a lot of bad architecture where something is accepted just because it’s green, but if it’s green and it’s ugly, then who cares? It would be better to have global warming and get it over with than live with that.” Frank Ghery

"It would be better to have global warming and get it over with than live with that."!!

how unethical!!! i don't know but to me, such blatant disregard for humanity is troubling. so, he would rather have millions/billions of people die because of flooding and disease due to rising temperatures than look at what he considers an ugly building thats green. human disease and death is just one part of the global warming problem. if I ever become that vain and stupid, take me to the woods and strap me to a tree for a week because i'm obviously so detached from reality that i'm causing harm to the world.

I think his point is that art and design is equally necessary and vital to a quality of life and respect to the environment.

It's useless to build green architecture if we don't pay as much attention to the design and aesthetics. Making the world an ugliest place is not good!
