I took a left turn at the National Gallery after viewing the wonderful Szilazi photography exhibit (I bloggued about 10/11/2009) and came upon a surprising exhibition by Lethbridge-based Artist David Hoffos.
From the pamphlet:
"Scenes from the House Dream is the culmination of 5 years of studio production [...]. Over the past 17 years, Hoffos' work has investigated the psychology behind the spectacle of visual media, old and new."
This exhibition blew me away. Difficult to explain, it truly can only be experienced to understand how he created a symbiotic interaction between model making, video, reflection and optics. It also presents "life size" art pieces.
