HOT Men: George Henry Lewes

Beautiful inside and out?

George Henry Lewes (18 April 1817 – 28 November 1878) was an English philosopher and critic of literature and theatre. He became part of the mid-Victorian ferment of ideas which encouraged discussion of Darwinism, positivism, and religious skepticism. However, he is perhaps best known today for having openly lived with George Eliot,( pen name of Mary Anne (Mary Ann, Marian) Evans) a soul-mate whose life and writings were enriched by their friendship.

"As all Art depends on Vision, so the different kinds of Art depend on the different ways in which minds look at things. - "George Henry Lewes
